Skinny on Hillary's Politics
Middle Class America
The American middle class is disappearing. People work too hard and long for too little reward. For 6 years, middle class Americans and working families in general have been forgotten. If Hillary is in the White House, she claims that no American will be left behind.
Affordable, Accessible Health Care
50 million people -- including almost 10 million kids -- are not covered by health insurance. It is time for universal health care in America.
Hillary claims to have vision and experience to make this happen. Hillary has battled with this issue before and she has battle wounds to show for it. Her claim is that she knows better than anyone how to create the political
support system needed to accomplish universal health care.
Iraq War Withdrawal
Hillary wants to end the war in Iraq. Her roadmap out of Iraq is a plan to end the war prior to the next president taking office. If the Bush administration won't end the war, as president and commander in chief, Hillary promises that she will personally see to it that we end the war in Iraq with peace and diplomacy.
Global Warming & National Energy Independence
Energy consumption issues effect most aspects of our lives. The economy, national security, health, and future of our
planet are all at stake as we ponder our dependence on foreign sources of oil. Hillary proposes a program fixed on establishing the concept of energy independence. Until the nation lessens its demand of fossil fuel, this simply will not happen. It is nothing more than a pipe dream issue for the candidates to lob out there. Of course, this is something that needs to be developed over decades, but it certainly won't happen on any one person's watch.
Education System & the Plight of American Schools
Hillary has long been an advocate for providing better education to all children. Parents are
our frontline teachers, and the early years have a very real
impact on human lives in the long term. We have to improve our elementary school system to ensure every kid is prepared to compete in the world and Hillary proposes to make this a reality as well. Affordable college for everyone is another focus of the campaign that seems ultimately unrealistic.
